Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma is thrilled to announce that through a partnership with CoBank and their Sharing Success program, we have contributed $10,000 to the Grandfield Senior Citizens, Inc.  This contribution will be used to assist with updates and repairs to the facility which are required for safety and compliance.

“This donation from CoBank and Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma helps us address critical needs within our facility while continuing the services our seniors rely on. Their partnership reminds us that rural communities thrive when we support one another,” said Tara Crane, Grandfield Senior Citizens Project Coordinator. “In small towns, neighbors look out for one another, and this gift reflects that spirit perfectly. CoBank and Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma stepped in with compassion, helping us care for the very people who cared for our community for generations.”

Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma and CoBank are committed to giving back to the communities they serve and making a difference.

“This project represents more than building repairs; it is a commitment to sustaining the wellbeing of the people who built and continue to shape Grandfield and rural Oklahoma. For many, the Center is not just a place to eat—it is a place to be seen, supported, and cared for. Investing in these improvements ensures that rural elders can continue aging with dignity, safety, and community,” said Greg Livingston, Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma CEO.

The Grandfield Senior Citizens facility is a vital lifeline for older adults in this rural community and surrounding areas. The Center provides daily hot meals, wellness checks, social activities, and a safe gathering place that many residents depend on for both nutrition and connection. On average, the Center serves 64 seniors each day.
