Farm Credit’s Relationship Driven Narrative is What Draws and Retains Customers

Getting to Know Board Member, David Dolch

Farm Credit Biostar

Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Marketing and Communications

We are highlighting board member and customer, David Dolch, of Anadarko, OK. David grew up and has resided in the Anadarko area basically his whole life. His only time spent away from home was while in college where he attended Cameron University on a livestock judging scholarship and graduated with an Agriculture Education degree. Following David’s graduation from Cameron, he married his wife (Tina) and began to teach Ag in Anadarko. David taught Ag for about a year and a half, but decided to transition to running cattle and begin dabbling in some other occupations such as working at the Clinton sale barn, where he currently still helps.

Today, David runs around 120 cows alongside his father-in-law (Loren Heazin) and children (Clay, Bryce, and Hayle). David’s operation is a cow-calf focus with a little no-till farming mixed in strictly for the purpose of feeding cattle. David plants graze-out wheat and rye but tends to focus mainly on bolstering the grass each year. David is also active in the club-calf industry in which he sells approximately 10 show calves a year, predominately in Texas.

David has been a Farm Credit customer going on about 30 years and has served on the board for 12 years. When asked why David began with Farm Credit, he said, “Relationships are what drew him to Farm Credit.” David also mentioned that he believes the relationship-driven narrative that encompasses Farm Credit has been a large part of why FCWO is where it is today. David has seen substantial growth during his time on the board and says, “I have never had a learning experience quite like serving on the board of directors.” David especially loves the young, beginning, and small farmer program that FCWO offers. What David loves most about this program is just FCWO’s willingness to work with new farmers and mentioned that this program is basically an extension of 4-H and FFA. David is a vital  member of the FCWO board of directors and we are thankful for the time he has invested in  the Association.

I believe the relationship-driven narrative that encompasses Farm Credit has been a large part of why FCWO is where it is today.
